Tom F.  Board Member At Large

Tom started shooting competitively when he was 12 years old with a Winchester 52 in Rimfire Silhouette.  Tom currently is a member of the Air Force Action Pistol Shooting Team specializing in IDPA Stock Service Pistol and IPSC Production Divisions.

Tom has been in the Air Force since 1988 as a C-130 crewmember and parachute rigger.  He regularly vacations to such lovely and scenic places as Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Sudan, Rwanda, Kosovo/Yugoslavia, Haiti, Columbia, Korea, and Utah.  Tom is also an Instructor in the C-130 Firefighting mission known as MAFFS and he heads the squadrons Night Vision Training programs.

Following the loss of the Owl Canyon range in 2000, Tom teamed up with then FR IDPA President Tom Judd to start a new venue for IDPA matches in Pueblo.  Tom has been the Match Director for numerous State and Regional IPSC and LE 3-Gun matches and was the stats geek for the 2003 Colorado State IDPA Match.  From 1999-2005 Tom was the NCOIC / Assist Coach and Armorer for the Air Force Academy Cadet Shooting Team.

Currently Tom is the Stats Geek for the Pueblo IDPA and 3-Gun Matches and is the Safety Director for Pueblo IPSC Matches.  He manages to still shoot Silhouette throughout the state and smallbore prone at the Olympic Training Center.  He regularly competes in 4-7 matches a month, not including a weekly Skeet and Sporting Clays league.
